Homer City Methodist Church History
Started from Small Beginnings
Homer City Methodist church has been a congregation in its community since 1825 with the "Log Cabin Church" being built in 1837.
A red brick church was built in 1855 but was razed in 1907 to build the current yellow brick church.
During that time the congregation worshiped as United Methodists and now Global Methodists.

There is a lot in the back of the church and parking on the street.
Children's Church is led during the worship time.
Both churches have a traditional style of worship with some contemporary aspects. Music is a strong point with Homer City having a worship team and Black Lick having a traditional choir and a bell choir.
We are always looking for people to come join us in Ministry. Contact Pastor Bob if you are interested. Anyone working with children will need PA clearances as well as do training sessions supplied by the Global Methodist Church
All of our groups are open to new people. We will place you in contact with the leaders. Pastor Bob is always open to knew groups being formed so if you have an idea, talk with him.
Our churches are open to anyone who wants to serve. We want to make use of the talents and gifts God has given you to enrich the church and God's Kingdom. Talk to Pastor Bob or our worship Chairpersons to get involved.
Celebrate Recovery is for anyone who is dealing with hurts, habits or hang-ups as well as people who love people going through the challenges of addiction. Celebrate recovery meets on Thursday evenings with food at 6:30pm, worship at 7:00pm and then group breakouts at 8:00pm.We are also developing step study programs for those who feel a need to dig deeper. This biblically based program is here to help you find a family of faith and healing.
Mickey Bell is a clean Christian comedian who is coming this summer to share his unique look at life and his love for Jesus. Keep checking for updates on this fun night for everyone.
These handmade, chocolate covered cream eggs are a hit! With an average of about 77,000 eggs made over the last three years, our Peanut Butter, Coconut, Butter Cream and Maple eggs are in demand. Funds raised go for various missions as well as helping with projects around the church. Check back as the Lenten season nears to get your order in for the Easter season.
